Now some fans have turned their attending towards criticizing the game'due south graphics. Some have realized that a tree looks like in Pokemon Sword and Shield to a tree in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a Nintendo 64 title released over ii decades ago:

My gauge every bit to how this thread will go: People volition utilize the ridiculousness of this modest minority as an excuse for Game Freak'southward activity of removing Pokémon from the game and a dismissal of concerns of the wider Pokémon community.

People have every right to be upset by these decisions, only yous can't deny this is simply being airheaded and honestly, is not helping anyone. The moment the feedback turns into some circlejerk hatefest, the message from the fans with actual criticism only becomes silenced.

I was set to say this is stupid, merely those screenshots are pretty damning. How is information technology even possible to have something looking more than blurry and lower resolution than an N64 game? that's an achievement of sorts.

User Warned: "Lazy Devs" rhetoric.
Let'due south be honest here. GF should stop making Pokemon games. They can't even make proper animations for the allegedly much meliorate animated/modeled Pokemon which is their excuse for only bringing certain Pokemon in the new game.

They love excuses that brand no sense. They have so much coin, all the same they are likewise lazy to ever invest that into a proper BOTW-scale game.

I'm gonna be honest hither. The first affair that came to my mind when I saw the SnS open globe area was Hyrule Field from OOT.

While the comparing is plainly hyperbolic, I believe those games would really do good from another year or so of evolution time. That would give them enough time to work on more and amend animations, and also refine details like the trees, grass, etc.

Game Freak isn't a massive studio by any means, and Nintendo seem to have pushed them to the edge for a release when a system-seller was needed the nigh, not when it was prepare.

  • #25
How many millions of sales will this take away from Pokémon?
Metaroo
  • #26
It seems that most of the avails are existence focused for the in-boxing world and animations. Not surprising since thats where the majority of the gameplay takes place.

Not how these things work. They don't make two sets of graphics. What happens is that effects and framerate are improved.
